What a tremendous honour it was to be selected by Alan Twigg, 2011 Mayor's Award Recipient for Literary Artist, to receive the Mayor's Award for Emerging Literary Artist. Alan has taken time from his busy writing, editing and publishing schedule to provide invaluable feedback on A Nose For Death.

Vancouver has been the centre of my work world for many years and is the home of Dr. Joan "Nosey" Parker.

Turning to prose after a career writing in other genres, it is fulfilling a life-long dream. Although I haven't left filmmaking entirely, I'm happy to come up to my office each morning, coffee cup in hand, to dream up new bits of life for Dr. Joan Parker.

Alan Twigg is a prolific writer, literary historian, and the publisher of B.C. Bookworld. This quarterly publication is a must-read for anyone interested in Canadian literature.
